Lace is so delicate that it has always been intimidating for me to try. A few years ago I read a knitting pattern book that had some simple yarn over patterns that I used on worsted weight yarn that helped me get over my small fear.
After building upon the technique I felt comfortable experimenting with it. I had an odd skein of lace weight with sequins hanging around that I had to find something to do with. It was driving me crazy trying to figure out what to do. I attempted to use a yarn over and knit combination and loved how it turned out.
What I love most about it is that I don’t have to think once I have the pattern down. Of course if you are like me it takes a while to get a solid start and not drop stitches or knit three instead of just two. I’m so happy to share this with you and know that you too will find it fun to make. Experiment with many yarns and cast on an even number and the combinations will be endless.
